I was hoping somebody would come out with an application with a GUI to Amazon S3 - now I read that Jungledisk exists - looks like it might work - and since it is just an interface to S3 there will be many more options in the future. Main points for me are: ~ I am not tied to the software (just to the storage) ~ if I ask myself where could I back up the contents of my home or office computer and what do I trust more in terms of being able to get that stuff back in say 5 years time...CDs/DVDs degrade over time although they will get lost or damaged before you would notice...other alternatives? office server, romanian backup center? I think it is Amazon for me. Will try it out over the weekend... Note to self - see if I can get GP to write that app I need to backup my mobile phone contents to S3....I am slowly rebuilding my mobile contacts book after "losing" my phone a couple of months ago Tags: python symbian, amazon_s3 backup software jungledrive mobile
